On December 14, 2020, National Standardization Administrationapproved the release of the “Recycled Steel Raw Materials” (GB/T 39733-2020) recommended national standard, which will be officially implemented on January 1, 2021.
The national standard of “Recycled Steel Raw Materials” was developed by the China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute and China Scrap Steel Application Association under the guidance of relevant national ministries and commissions and the China Iron and Steel Industry Association. The standard was approved on November 29, 2020. At the review meeting, the experts fully discussed the classification, terms and definitions, technical indicators, inspection methods, and acceptance rules in the standard. After strictly, scientificly review, the experts at the meeting believed that the standard materials meet the requirements of the national standard, and agreed to revise and improve the national standard of “Recycled Steel Raw Materials” in accordance with the meeting requirements.
The formulation of the national standard of “Recycled Steel Raw Materials” provides an important guarantee for the full utilization of high-quality renewable iron resources and the improvement of the quality of recycled steel raw materials.
